Action East End (Newham/Tower Hamlets)

We at Action East End want to see an alternative, one based on a genuine sense of community and solidarity. Action East End is a local group based in East London that wants to contribute to resistance, both defending ourselves in our communities and workplaces, but ultimately helping co-ordinate activities to improve our quality of life.

Community Action Lewisham

Formed in 2009/10, our main activity at the moment is trying to organise within the local anti-cuts alliance. We have an active email list, so please get in touch if you would like to be added.

Haringey Solidarity Group (Haringey)

Formed in the early 1990s by local anti-poll tax activists, and have met monthly since then. We want to get rid of the current system which places profit and power before people’s real needs. The only effective way to achieve this is for those who live or work in Haringey to get organised, fight back and take over the decision making in their own communities and workplaces. To that end we support and participate in local campaigns and struggles, spread radical ideas and help create effective opposition to the powers-that-be.

Hackney Solidarity Network

HSN is a network, not an organisation. It exists to encourage closer links and provide a space for contact between community activists in Hackney. This means all those active in their communities, not just the overtly political; so, if you are active in a community group, a voluntary organisation or a tenants and residents association and want to share your experiences and/or look for support for your work, HSN welcomes your involvement.

Radical Islington

Radical Islington was formed in October 2009 for people who live or work in or near Islington and have anti-capitalist politics.  The group is non-authoritarian and is not aligned with any party.  We meet on the third Monday of every month and seek active involvement in local struggles.

    • Whitechapel Anarchist Group

    Loose-knit  group of local anarchists in the East end area with monthly organising meetings, and monthly discussion meetings. Also run regular social nights in Whitechapel area.

    Walthamstow Anarchist Group (Waltham Forest)

    Walthamstow AG meets monthly and are currently taking action on issues around housing and homelessness.
